I've never heard of anyone changing guitars in a show.

With my stuff I don't have to change fingerings etc and have the entire
fretboard available. Also I only ever have to take 2 guitars with me for any
show. The ability to use the entire fretboard and not change fingerings means
less head work for me. Makes maintenance easier for me as well. Also lets me
change with a push of a button.
