Timothy,
I use the nylon picks by "Dunlop", several different gauges for different
feels and timbres. Give them a try.

andy, i seriously hate regular picks.
 my friend scott runs a company called cactus.
 they're located in alabama.
 i have his pick he calls agovvi.
 it's 0.2 Centameeters.
 it's so small it can be put in the pom of my hand for plucking or i can use
it for that as well. depending on the sound i want.
 actually i am having a hard time using biger picks now i've gotten so use
to the agovvi.
 anyway. that's something for you to think about. smaller picks allow for
more control.
 dunlop makes good ones but i like cactus better myself.
