Good evening everyone,

I know these messages about struggling for high notes were
not directed at me, but I have been following them very closely. I was an
alto for many years, but since I've joined the Cornerstone Church choir in
August, I have been singing second soprano, which is quite comfortable.
However, next Tuesday, I am trying out for the special music team-those who
sing and play solos, duets, etc., after the choir sings and after the
offering. One song I am thinking of leaning towards is a Squire Parsons
song, "Bring Back the Cross." Squire hits a high A-flat at the end, which I
have been working on diligently for the past week. A few times, I have had
to go the lower F, four notes lower. However, after taking some of your
suggestions to heart, I hit the note this afternoon, and held it the way I
was supposed to. All I can say is, thank you all for these suggestions, and
I know I will put them into practice, both in choir and in possible special
music in the future.

Talk to you all again soon.

Mary Donahue
