[musictlk] Asking for advice

I do agree with that mindset, that some people think we are less because we
are blind. A couple years ago, I told a lady in charge of our Lady's
Ministry at my church that I would like to be added to the list to sing or
give a concert at one of the meetings. She laughed at me, with the kind of
laugh like yeah right, I don't think so. So I told her again, but explained
what I meant explicitly, and she laughed at me again. So yes, there are
people out there who don't think we are capable of doing some things; I
guess they think you have to see to do anything... I heard someone say one
time, how can she sing in the choir, she can't see. Someone told her that
you don't have to see in order to sing.

That doesn't make any sense.

I guess it will take a while for everyone to understand that we can do
everything everyone else can.

Actually, everyone all over the world knows about Stevy Wonder, Ray Charles
and Andrea Bocheli. They all admire them, but still think the rest of us are
less.
