Sadly many student instruments are of very poor quality and are actually
harder to play....and even a student sax or trumpet isn't cheap these days.

   In my  latest  post I talked about a students first instrument not
needing to be  top  notch or in the higher price range. 

 I wanted to try to  clarify  

 I think one   should try to get the best quality  one can afford  but on
the other hand.  No young student needs a grand piano or a  Less Paul
electric guitar  priced for several thousand dollars
