There are still plenty of small simple audio players out there.
I think most electronic device stores should have something along
those lines.

Subject: [MusicTlk] music as theropy

Hi All, I don't know where else to ask this so I hope this is
fair game
for this list.

My Wife has dementia and is now in a care centre since it got
to the point
that I could no longer care for her at home. I want to provide
her with
music and am wondering what options I have. I could see about
getting her
a small radio for her room which I think could be a nice thing
but what I
really would like to do if I can find a good way to do it, is to
get a
small device that I could load a bunch of her favorite songs onto
and she
could turn it on and just let it play. Like I say she does have
dementia so
it would have to be very simple with very few buttons or
functions. Just
turn it on and let it play through or set on random or what
ever.

I hope this make sence.

I can not remember what they called it but before it was so
popular to play
music on your cell phone there used to be a small device that
you could
load music on and then plug in a headphone sset or a small
external
speaker.

Anyhow I think you all get the picture.

Robert
