Hi Steve and Sandra:
I am a 71 year old and learning ukulele and working on my voice - or whats left of it.
I tried to use Garage Band on my IPhone for creating backing tracks and recording myself but I dont think it is accessible.
I have downloaded Audacity but need to get a microphone or some kind of setup to generate backup and record myself perhaps in multi-track.
Do you have any suggestions as to personal recorders that work wellish for recording guitar and voice and use mechanical buttons or something accessible to the blind if Audacity with something like the Blue Yettie is not a good choice?
Oh ya, and dont cost hundreds and hundreds of dollars - greenies are a little scarce living on Social Security but I want to live my second childhood before I head to the flip side of life as it were if you catch my drift.
I am a baritone and looking for a good acoustic/electric uke or even a chambered uke if you know anyone.
I have played guitar off and on for years but now have time to dig into playing more agressively.
I have also created a few songs but dont have them available anymore, that was some fingerstyle jazz with lyrics but I did it about 30 or 40 years ago and they are long gone - even from my old memory neural-pathways, sigh.
As for working together on creations, how is it done?
Is it something I can do with others from home using my Windows computer?
I was a Computer Programmer in my working life, until I went blind, and have a pretty good working background in the digital relm and developing custome applications.
I continue to work with Computer Programming, use Visual Studio mostely, and music, open micc stuff, and that is about all I do anymore.
Let me know if you have anything I can use as a jump off point for research or something I might get involved in either with computer programming or music.
Later:

Hey Chris,
Definitely gonna try to stop by. I am still putting together my schedule for the week, but I saw the email with the details.
Thanks,
