[MusicTlk] Need some advice please

Hi all,

I am a long time guitar player who has stuck to his pedals and amps and
stayed away from anything on the computer.

Planning on picking up a Boss ME-80 effects processor.  Ive done a ton of
research and it seems that's the most user friendly/blind friendly unit out
there.  I see that I can update it with new effects patches online and was
thinking I might want to run the me-80 through my pc instead of an amp.
Obviously I need a decent pair of studio monoters but beyond that I have no
clue.  What do I need software/hardware wise to make this work?  I want to
keep it as simple and ost effective as I can.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
