Hello, Good question. So when we're talking about MuseScore, we could be
referring to one of two things. There's the music notation software
MuseScore, which you get from musescore.org. It is a very popular fully
featured mainstream notation program, and it is pretty much fully
accessible with standard screen readers. It is useful for those who wish to
compose their own music, for example. There is also a separate but related
entity called musescore.com, which is a sheet music sharing site where
users upload sheet music in native MuseScore format, and you can go there
and download sheet music in a range of formats including MusicXML, native
MuseScore format, PDF, MP3, and MIDI. It's sort of like YouTube for sheet
music, if you know what I mean. Sao Mai Braille is a multi-purpose braille
translation program, one of its key stand-out features/strengths is
MusicXML to braille music translation. MusicXML is an interchange format
that all major notation programs, such as MuseScore, Sibelius, and Dorico,
can access. If you guys have ever heard of the Goodfeel suite from Dancing
Dots, Sao Mai Braille does essentially the same thing, but for a free price
tag and a similar level of quality. Hope this clears things up.
