Hi Tracy,
Gosh I didn't know you were on this list or that you were a musician! How did I miss that when we were in Seeing Eye class together way back when? Anyway, I haven't used SharpEye in a while. When I did several years ago, I tried it with a scanned PDF, and the results were poor. But I just tried that same scanned PDF with PlayScore2, and the results were almost as poor. So not SharpEye's fault. I'd be curious to hear about its features. PlayScore2 is pretty economical month to month, but SharpEye might be better if it's not an annoying subscription model like PlayScore is. Thanks.

Subject: [MusicTlk] Getting music from PDF
Some people here say that they lose a significant number of notes when trying to get music from a PDF. I don't find this with Sharpeye. I lose all fingering indications, but I seldom lose notes. But that's from real PDFs, not PDFs created from a scan. I don't know how the real PDFs are created-maybe with Finale or some other music program. All I know is that, if I have a PDF that Jaws can read without using OCR, Sharpeye can deal with it.
