Dear Tara,
Thanks for your message.
I'm assuming your daughter reads conventional inkprint notation while you read Music Braille, correct? As for what you are entitled to in terms of access, I know for a fact that if your daughter needed Music Braille, she would be well within her right to request Music Braille. In this case, however, I'm not sure if you would be successful in requesting Music Braille as a parent. You may well have to dig up Music XML scores and translate them into Music Braille via software like GOODFEEL or Sao Mai Braille. Alternatively, you might try NLS's music collection for scores.
Sorry that I couldn't be of more help. I can't imagine how frustrating your and your daughter's experience was last night. Hopefully, someone with more knowledge than I will be of help.

Subject: [MusicTlk] Accessing my daughter‘s orchestra music in braille
Hi all! My daughter plays violin and she got into her middle school‘s advanced orchestra. Things have been going pretty well, but she has been given a piece that is pretty challenging for her! It is a piece on Suzuki book 4 level and she is currently working on Suzuki book too. She’s made a lot of progress on this music and she also takes private lessons. However, it would be incredibly helpful to her if I could access the music in braille. Has anyone come across a similar challenge and what did you do? I live in the United States, and it is my understanding that under the Americans With Disabilities Act, I have the right to access my child education. Any help would be great! We’ve been managing, but last night was pretty frustrating!
Tara
