Thanks! Honestly, I didn't think about that. I thought portable was better due to taking up space in a room, but I would honestly like suggestions as to what would be best to learn on. Would 64 keys be better? 
I am open to any and all. I just want something where I can learn, play and do both chords and melodies.

Well, I was given the Yamaha P105 which is all 88 keys but singers as you want something smaller are you looking for something that has like 64 keys or 32 keys? Any line of Yamaha products has these configurations I mean you can even probably get one that has 24 keys which spans I think three octaves. And I meant 61 keys not 64 finger slipped.
