[MusicTlk] Music Distributor Recommendation

Distrokid is sort of the industry standard as of late but they do have a lot of competition these days. It also will come down to what you want feature wise as well. Distrokid starts out inexpensive but can get expensive quickly with its upcharge for add on features some of which are yearly charges and not one time fees. But they don’t take a cut of any money you make off your music. If you don’t care about the add ons, Amuse had a free tier last I checked but that free tier doesn’t offer much more than getting your songs into streaming platforms. Song drop is a very low flat rate per song and that price includes some things distrokid would charge for. Collab House also looks interesting, Low up front fees  and they take a small cut of your earnings (I think 5%) but does also include a lot of the features distrokid up charges for. 
I have only so far looked at the distrokid and Amuse interfaces have not looked at song drop or collab house yet to know how accessible they are. I recently came across them in my own research and just sharing the ones that look interesting feature wise. There are a lot more out there you can get lost going down the rabbit hole, but I’d probably start with those 4 myself and go from there. Also keep in mind if you change your mind in the future there are ways to move from one distributor to another with out loosing your listener and follower. Count data. I’ll be having to make a decision for a release soon myself as well. Share a link when you have stuff out as well.
