--></style></head><body lang=EN-US link=blue vlink="#954F72" style='word-wrap:break-word'><div class=WordSection1><p class=MsoNormal>Hi Carol:</p><p class=MsoNormal>I have play uke for some time now and am totally blind.</p><p class=MsoNormal>I have used tutorials and lessons I have found on YouTube to learn songs based on both uke and guitar.</p><p class=MsoNormal>The lesson or tutorial usually is spoken with audio samples of fragments of a song demonstrated along with a verbal description of the fingering involved in the phrase.</p><p class=MsoNormal>If you are somewhat sighted I am guessing you want the chords or lyrics or other info about a song available outside where you are playing.</p><p class=MsoNormal>A laptop might fit the bill if you can read the screen.</p><p class=MsoNormal>I memorize all my songs since I can not read anything and arrange guitar songs for ukulele whenever possible since I do some fingerpicking and solo and chord/melody playing to back my vocals.</p><p class=MsoNormal>.Anyway, nice to hear there is another uke player out there.</p><p class=MsoNormal>If you are totally blind there are some other choices like braille sheet music and braille text documents to convey chords, melody and lyrics.</p><p class=MsoNormal>There are some software packages that may help as well that work with a screen reader or are self voiced.</p><p class=MsoNormal>.I play a Kala Concert and some harmonica and am looking at getting another uke of some sort, perhaps a baritone or even a 6 string (guitalele)</p><p class=MsoNormal>Richard R.
