You make a good point of few making proffits and many doing the work.  But 
you must also remember a couple of things.  Most businesses of any type 
fail.  Also you said your mom got a "regular job".  MLM is not a job.  It is 
a business.  But regardless the type, if people do not risk starting a 
business, then noone can get a "regular job".  I would be willing to bet, 
that in comparison, your mom did not make as much as the owners of that 
business did.
