Cheryl,

You need to learn how to read things a little better. If you read what I wrote, I am shocked to see that women owned businesses are still considered to be considered a minority, especially with all the powerful corporate executives that are women. Please do not purport to perceive me as a male chauvinist. Thanks..

Really I am insulted at that last statement, in fact, women are still considered a minority especially in owning a business, and in getting contracts from the US Government, which many of you should look into on how to get into the bidding process, I did this a few years ago, and I am able to bid on contracts for travel. It does take time to do, but your local community colleges should have a location, if you live here on Long Island, the SBA is located at Stonybrook Universtiy; Hofstra University and the Grant Campus at Suffolk Community College.

I know this for a fact, especially being a woman and disabled, they have to give x amount of contracts to woman and also businesses owned by those who are disabled.

Being that I am one of the Officers of the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce. I recommend that if you town and community you join your local chamber under a person of the community, you can do so, and the membership a year, normally isn't that much.

They always have events at least once a month to network with and also people like the local Small Business Association and other business opportunities in your area.

What a male chauvinist thing to say.

take a look at the Small Business Administration in your area. they always support and lend assistance to minority owned businesses. that women owned businesses can still be considered a minority is a joke, but try that.

Hello,

I'm looking for financing resources for small businesses. Does anyone know of any sources for low-interest loans for women and/or people with disabilities (blindness) who are starting a business? (We have excellent
credit.) Also, in case it makes a difference, I am in Southern California.

Thanks,

Sarah
