Highly recommend the Epson Artisan 710 All In One. I have had nothing but
very good results with this unit since I purchased it in 2011. I used it a
bunch in college for printing and scanning, and it does great work with
both. Note that the applications installed are not accessible for
controlling the scanner, but if you are using another scanning program such
as Open Book or Doc U Scan Plus, it works just fine.

The printer I use is not a color one. It's a Brother HL-2270DW laser
printer.
You can also get this model with a scanner on it. Mine does not. I use a
portable Cannon scanner.
I got this printer after my cartoonist buddy was using his and working the
heck out of it. I did some research, and other than some folks who obviously
kept paper in damp places gave it a bad review, I found most people found it
an absolute work horse. That is my experience also.
I love this printer. I think you can get them for around $150 - $200. It's
rating is for small offices with medium printing jobs required if memory
serves.
I would really steer away from bubble jet printers, especially if you're
looking for color. Many are extremely proprietary where if you use
primarily black ink and run out, you'll need to buy all the colors. Plus,
some have expiration dates on the cartridges and will not work unless you
replace them.
You couldn't' pay me to go back to bubble jet.
Good luck.
Brad

Hello, everyone.
Any thoughts on the right printer to purchase would be appreciated. Looking
for one I can work with easily to meet administrative and marketing needs.
Thanks.
