QuickBooks for Windows is extremely usable and functional and has been something My Blind Spot has been working on since 2011. If you, or anyone for that matter, would like to do a tandem session with a member of our team to take a look let me know.

MBS offers the QB program on our site, with a users guide specific for screen reader users, which mirrors the same user guides used by the general public, 60 some odd virtual lessons to compliment the guide, and the minimal scripts needed to bridge the very minimal digital divide that exists and is still being worked on by an international team of engineers.

Here are videos that speak to and demonstrates what I mean. This first video, with a mini documentary feel, served as the cherry on the sundae that convinced Intuit to work with My Blind Spot on making QuickBooks for Windows accessible and usable for the first time in decades.

These next 2 videos are examples of our 60+ Self Paced Virtual Lessons that walk consumers, step by step, through the check writing process. It mirrors the instructions included in our MBS User's Guide, both of which were developed and drafted by people who happen to be blind, and built upon 20 years of source documentation used when training sighted consumers.

I'm looking for a financial calculator, but I'm glad to hear that there is accessible accounting software out there. I've heard it's hard to find.
