[nABEntre] Advice

Hello,
Business skills are the yeast in the bread that makes the business rise.
You need something someone wants to buy, or support someone who has
something someone else wants to buy. Once you have that, then your books
and business skills will start becoming useful, although you'll probably
learn a hundred times as much as you've learned from the books actually
scaling the business.
1. Find something people are willing to pay for.
2. Write a plan (sometimes known as a business plan) to get your product in
front of your customer so they will buy it.
3. Work hard to make your first customer experiences so incredible they
will love you and tell their friends.
4. Become so busy with sales and new customer orders that you need to hire
someone else to help you.
5. Use those business skills and repeat step 4 until you have a business
that doesn't need you anymore.
6. Either sell the business at this point, or take it public.

For funding, your personal credit score will be critical if you're going to
take out loans. Get that as high as you can. If you're going to right
grants, spend lots of time reading over the application, meeting with the
grant officer, and making sure your documents are in order. Also make sure
you have someone on your team who has received that grant before. For
investors, I'm not an expert, but from what I've heard, you need a product
that is growing so fast that you can't wait for a grant, banks won't give
you high enough loans, and you're making money hand-over-fist. I've heard
you can also get investor funding in earlier stages, but you need a large 5
billion pluss market size.

But the point is, you need a product people actually want to buy.
The problem with MLMs, is they're a product built for the team member to
buy and not the customer. Sure, you can find people who will buy the
product, but the people running the MLM are selling to the team members and
not to the team member's customers.

If you want to really be successful, specialize in something else, not
related to business (Mark Zuckerberg) or find someone who is an expert
(Steve Jobs).

If you're only after money, become a financial trader at a bank or
investment firm. That doesn't have as much risk, and the payoff is much
faster. You're also dealing with money every day, which is what can scratch
that itch for more money.

Businesses are for people who have a burning passion for getting something
out into the world, or who have something people really want to buy. You'll
live, sleep, eat, and drink that thing for between 5-10 years, so you need
to love it.
Thanks,
