Good afternoon everyone,

That should also include blind people who can design and build the website and test it for accessibility for you.

Never used Wix myself, so you could well be right on it's accessibility.
The larger point is as you noted, there are other affordable ways to get
up and running.

> Wix is accessible now? Last I checked it wasn’t. Save yourself the time and hassle and money. Go to NameCheap (https://www.namecheap.com/?aff=52283 <https://www.namecheap.com/?aff=52283>) and you can get a domain, WordPress hosting and email for less than $50 year. Their Chat support is excellent, their FAQ’s are helpful and the prices can’t be beat and there is no up sell throughout the checkout process like you get with GoDaddy. I recommend WordPress over Wix, SquareSpace or any of the other site builders. Its been around a while, its accessibility is excellent, and you should be able to find blind people who maybe able to point you in the right direction access wise regarding it.
> As been stated here, you don’t need a website and non gmail address to get started but the sooner you can migrate to them the more professional you will seem. The website doesn’t have to be a complicated affair and can be one to 3 pages providing basic info and contact links and a place for people to schedule time or purchase whatever your service or goods are. So even if you won’t need it now, its something you will want to explore down the road in order to help grow the business.
