[nabop] nabop national convention reminder meeting

Hi everyone,

Our 2009 NFB convention is fast approaching. I want to remind everyone of
our NABOP regular meeting scheduled for July 3, 2009 with registration at
6:30 P.M. and the meeting begins at 7:00 P.M. and goes on through
approximately 10:00 P.M. We will have our very first proofreading workshop
that is put together by Mary Donahue and me. I hope everyone is submitting
their request of specific format to ensure that we have an accurate count.
If for some reason more people come than what we plan for, I may ask that we
divide into small groups to discuss your answer among yourselves before
providing the answer to the group. I hope that we don't have to do that.
This workshop will be recorded for others who could not make the meeting.
Consult your NFB agenda for room location. You should find the electronic
version of the agenda by going to www.nfb.org and look for the link that
says National Convention. If you have problem finding it, let me know and
I'll assist you in locating it.

On another note, I am about to lose my mother who is 77 because of a long
illness of Alzheimer's disease and possibly cancer which we did not know
about the latter until the last 2 to 3 weeks. She currently lives with my
sister in Kerens, Texas where medical and financial needs are being met. She
have been suffering with severe pain in her right leg and left hip for
several weeks. She is resting comfortably but not responding at this time. I
could get a call any time to get ready to fly to Dallas to assist with
funeral arrangements and getting ourselves transported to Shreveport,
Louisiana where we will bury her. I may or may not be able to attend
convention, but in the event I can't make it, Mary Donahue will preside if
needed. I will keep her posted on this development.
