[nabop] nabop Digest, Vol 72, Issue 8

When I worked for a year as a receptionist I brailled the office
extensions and they had a chime on the front door so I knew when
someone was coming into the building. For taking messages I used a
variety of methods--sometimes I used a large print message book where
one could tear the message slip and the copy was underneath for the
records. Sometimes I used a digital recorder, sometimes I emailed the
message to the appropriate individual after jotting it down in Braille
first, or I'd tranfer the call to the given individual if requested.
I used a CCTV for navigating through the mail going in and
out--incoming mail could sometimes e a challenge as it didn't always
note the specific individual or address where to be sent. Sighted
readers were needed for that purpose at times. Good luck,

Reanne
