Hi Sarah,

If you want to work from home, you can do that. Most often, medical 
transcriptionists are paid by the letter, so the faster/more accurate you 
are, the better. However, some doctors will pay transcriptionists as 
independent contractors--hourly wage, but no benefits like health care, 
retirement, etc.
