Hello and Goodbye!

This month at NBP, we said goodbye to some friends and hello to some new ones! We'd first like to welcome Jessica Simpson, Executive Assistant to Brian Mac Donald, to the NBP family. We are also saying goodbye to Georgie Sydnor and Albano Barberi, two of our amazing proofreaders. Albano leaves NBP to pursue his passion for music. Georgie is going back to school to become a TVI. For both Albano and Georgie, braille has been an instrumental part of their path to higher education, and will to be part of their future. We thank them for their great work and helping us produce the best quality braille! We miss them both already!

Our 92nd Annual Meeting is on Tuesday, June 11, beginning at 5:30 PM! The meeting will take place at The Curry Center Ballroom on the Northeastern Campus, right down the street from National Braille Press!

Book of the Month: Dating in the Digital Age

The production, publishing, and collating teams at NBP have been hard at work this month producing tons of great books for our braille readers! They really hit a home run with Dating in the Digital Age, a new book by Kim Loftis exploring jumping into the world of online dating. Loftis explores the ins and outs of dating in the digital age, taking the reader through important considerations such as why to date online, how to express your uniqueness, how to date safely, and how much of yourself to share and when. In addition to covering all of the human aspects of dating online, the book also digs deep into the accessibility of three of the major dating platforms: Plenty of Fish, Match, and eHarmony. You will learn how to navigate the sites, register as a new user, create an enticing profile, take available compatibility tests, personalize account settings, communicate with potential matches, upgrade in order to access additional communication tools, and much more!
