Hi Jessica,

Welcome to the list! My name is Arielle Silverman and I am a Ph.D.
candidate in social psychology at the University of Colorado in
Boulder, CO. I have also been an active member of NABS and the NFB for
the past five years, and I currently serve as the first vice-president
of NABS.

I actually joined the NABS list when I was in high school and I
participated on the list for a year before I ever went to an NFB
national convention. Even after I attended the convention, I didn't
commit to joining the NFB for another two years, but I still remained
active on the list.

The list is a great place to learn about what the NFB does, what its
members are like and how you can get involved. I encourage you to read
the posts and contribute ideas of your own, and ask us any questions
you may have about the NFB either on or off-list, whether or not you
decide to join the NFB officially.

Cheers
Arielle
