[nabs-l] Ending the NFB/ACB feud

Is the ACB student division willing to end the feud? Does anyone know? I
have been wondering about getting the ACB and NFB back together for a while.
I mean, I went to their website, just to check it out, and I found that the
only main difference between the two is in their philosophies. I understand
that NFB can't really compromise their philosophy, but we could at least
find some way to work together. I mean, both NFB and ACB have scholarship
programs (ACB's is more than just proof of legal blindness, but also entails
an essay, letters of recommendation, etc.), student divisions, and they way
we both organize our organizations is similar. I think, if the ACB students
would be willing, and since we students are the future, we could work on
bringing the two back together forming one big organization of the blind.

Hi all,
Could someone please, as objectively as possible, explain the NFB
versus ACB issues? I don't really get what the big deal is ...
Thank you,
