[nabs-l] Recording NABS meeting

Hello Sarah and listers,

I wonder if CNN, Fox News, NASA, and other sites that contain lots of
video, some of it going back a long way, worry about how often someone views
it. The NFB itself has a large online video library for site visitors to
view should they choose to do so. The point is to draw visitors to the site
by offering engaging content that gets our message across and not worrying
about how often it's viewed. If the parents of a blind child view videos on
our sites and received the encouragement, inspiration, and help they needed
to raise their expectations as to what kind of a life their blind child can
have then we've done our job.

There's another matter that bears comment. The national office places
video content on the in-house server that hosts our Web site as well as on
sites such as uTube. Provided there is sufficient disk space on the server
our affiliates should do likewise. If this content is placed on uTube
exclusively there's a danger that the good folks at uTube could change their
interface in such a way that blind persons could no longer access them.
Placing the video content directly on the host server will insure that blind
persons and their friends will be able to enjoy them regardless of what
uTube and company does to their Web interface. That's the latest from here.
Happy Memorial Day everyone.

My question wouldbe how often does the general public view the student
seminars?
