Hello Ashley and listers,
I'm curious to know if anyone contacted Terri to volunteer to record the
NABS Meeting at the convention. While it's a grill to provide this service
to our affiliates there's only so much of me to go around. I'd love it if
following the convention I'm able to hear the meeting proceedings knowing
one of you guys stepped up to the plate, took the bull by the horns, and got
the job done. Still an even bigger thrill would be to turn our radio on and
hear the voice of the NABS member that recorded the meetings and put this
service on their resume which helped them land that job. Then we of our
Webmasters Group will have done our job in helping a blind person improve
his/her standard of living by contributing to their success.
As for video it's an option, but audio is a must. That doesn't mean we
shouldn't consider the possibilities of video for future conferences. All
the best from a very tired Pete Donahue.

Peter,
I think audio is fine for now. Its a little less than a month til the
convention. No one on this list offered to video the meetings. You need
more equipment, skill and money to do it. I think having audio is far more
feasible at this point than video for the nabs meeting.
While there may be alternative techniques to do video taping to some extent
its better to practice on a smaller scale than a meeting.
For something this big its better to have sighted assistance if there's
going to be video.
Well I'll just wait and see what happens. I have no expertise or equipment
in digital recording. But someone who does will step up and help out.
Ashley
