Hello Sarah, Beth, and All,
Trust me, you two are not the only ones dealing with bad disability services
offices. I cannot stand working with my disability resources office on
campus, but they will not let me do things my way. I have to give them my
books to be scanned when I could do a much better job myself, I have to give
them the lists of PDF articles to be scanned as soon as I receive them to be
scanned when I could easily do it myself, I have to take tests for
statistics in their office because they feel that they have to be the go
between with my statistics professor, my statistics assistant whom they
hired, and myself. I tell all of my professors at the beginning of every
semester that I do not like dealing with disability services and that I
would rather deal with them directly, and most of them are all right with
the way that I do things. I can completely sympathize with you.
Kolby
