[nabs-l] being scholastically social?

I disagree with RJ and Sarah. Obviously you're there to get a degree but
there is so much more to education than that. Learning from lectures and
texts is such a small portion of what you will learn in life it can't hurt
to expose yourself to a wide range of people and interests while so many
opportunities are available to you. Maybe you won't like what you learn from
others or you won't make the friends you hoped but putting yourself out
there can only benefit you In the long run.
