Hello Isaiah,
Let me say I really appreciate this note to the list. It is
always difficult to vote when it comes around to Nabs elections
sometimes. The membership feel disconnected sometimes, so it is
hard to know who has done what for the division and in areas
outside of Nabs. I'd like to hear more about what you think
needs to change about Nabs and what specific changes you'd like
to attempt to implement.
Best,
Briley

Greetings,
I hope this message finds you all doing well and in excellent
spirits. I would like to take a brief moment of your time to
introduce myself and to announce that I am running for NABS
president.
My name is Isaiah G. Wilcox and was formerly the president of
GABS, I am currently a board member of NABS, and the treasurer
and IT administrator for the NFB of Georgia. I was introduced to
the federation at the first ever Youth Slam and I selected as a
scholarship recipient in 2008. I am a recent graduate of
Morehouse College and now I am an intern with the Department of
Defense. I will be working towards obtaining a masters degree in
the spring of 2012 once my internship is complete.
I am running to become the next NABS president because I wish
to:
Continue the growth of NABS and continue to seek equality and
opportunity for students nation wide.
Utilize social media, the web, and other innovative tools to
reach out to more students and gain access to new resources.
Mentor student division presidents to build leadership within
the divisions
To place NABS at the forefront in the fight of issues facing
blind students.
And much, much more!!!

Isaiah Wilcox

Hello Isaiah,
I understand that you want to run for nabs president. I was
wondering,
what are some things you have done with NABS in the past? What
specific
things are you doing now? What do you wish to see change?
Bre
