No, you double tap the icon with one finger but hold the finger
on the screen after the second tap (haha is this clear?) until
there's a little noise and voiceover says (moving "application
name". At this point you can double tap any icon on the screen
normally to bring up a dialog which asks you whether you want to
delete it or not.

 Beth,
Good question. You double tap on the app with two fingers at
the
same time. Then it will say "moving such and such crappy app."
This
is how you put something else into another folder-if you do
that, you
move around the screen until you find what you want (after doing
the
split double tap), then do a normal double-tap and those two
things
are now in the same folder. To delete the app for good all you
do is
do the split double tap, then make sure you're highlighting the
app on
the screen (I'll flick right then back left just to be sure)
then do
the normal double-tap. Instead of trying to move this to
another
folder, it will ask you if you want to delete the darn thing and
it's
 pretty straightforward from there.

 Kirt

 Hi, all.
How do I delete apps from my Ipod touch for goood? Anybody want
to tell me exactly how that's done? I got this I-touch 4th
generation a month or a few weeks ago, so I have a lot of apps.
But how do I delete the ones I don't want to free up space for
other apps and music and stuff? How do I do this with JAWS or
 Voiceover? Thanks.
 Beth
