[nabs-l] Question Regarding Elections

Hello All,

In a recent email about elections, it was said that we would be electing the
president, second vice-president, and treasurer to a one-year term, and the
first vice-president, secretary, and board members 1 and 3 to a two-year
term.

However, according to the constitutional amendment that was passed last
year, it states that the President and the treasurer are not to be elected
in the same year. So if this is correct, then I believe the position of the
secretary should only be a one-term position, and the position of the
treasurer should be a two-term position.

Any thoughts? I am asking for clarification because I have an interest in
running for one of these positions, and want to make sure I am fully aware
of my responsibilities before making a final decision.

Thanks,
Elizabeth
