I was told once that in the United States, it's a 90:10 split. I'm not
sure how accurate that is and I'm sure the percentage of dog handlers
is higher in other parts of the world. When I was growing up, almost
all the blind adults I knew were dog handlers, so I was surprised to
hear that statistic.
