I just mean it's slow to write the math. The BrailleNote itself
isn't slow. It just takes a while to write out the math. If
anyone's curious about doing math on the BrailleNote, here's what
you do. You start with a text document. Once you have that
created, use shorthand for some symbols. You can come up with
your own as long as you explin what it means to the teacher.
Also, check out the unicode tables, where you can find lots of
the symbols you need. To get to these, pres backspace with dots
3 and 5. Hope this helps.

Braille Textbooks are needed for most Math.
The Pac Mate isn't as slow, as the BN, though.

work the math on the BrailleNote, but even though you can do it,
it's extremely slow and not good for taking notes. As for
getting my book electronically, I would if I could find it and
if
it's readable. Most math isn't readable with a screen reader.

That Brailler is extremely heavy, plus with a backpack, with
huge
Braille books, it will hurt your back, because I had similar
problems!
For my Math classes, to alleviate the problem, in high school, I
was
fortunate, to have a Brailler, in every classroom, (thanks to my
VR
Counselors,) (this was when they were cooperating.)
I have an old Perkins, that I'm willing to get rid of, by the
Fall, of
this year, because I won't need it again.
Lanie, will you be at convention, this year?
Also, I'm still hoping, that David can market that new
lightweight
Brailler, that he showed me, 2 years ago.
