Hi,
I think that JAWS in demo mode can be used, although you would have to 
restart the computer every 40 minutes. There is also NVDA now, however, that 
would be a free option and can also be used on a flash drive so that it will 
not have to be directly installed on the computers in the workplace. I agree 
with Arielle that a lot of jobs don't require having a Braille display. When 
I served with AmeriCorps working with immigrants to help them learn English 
and Health Literacy, the only thing I used was my netbook with Windows XP 
and JAWS 10 on it, so I did everything with just speech. I also have done 
some grammatical proofreading using just speech without a Braille display.
