[nabs-l] watch out! it's another ridiculous update from Google

This doesn't seem like something to get up in arms about... If an older
version of Internet Explorer wont be supported any longer by Google apps,
you can simply update to a newer version, or try a different browser like
Firefox or Chrome. You aren't going to completely lose access to your mail
or any of your important files or information. You just need to update.
This isn't a case of Google playing dirty. I run technical support for a
small software start-up, and it's just the nature of software to update
over time and consequently become incompatible with much older versions of
software its supposed to play nicely with. This would happen with any
company, but may happen faster or more often with companies that are moving
forward quickly and making big changes to their apps. That's why it isn't a
good idea to become dependent on old versions to the point that needing to
update our browser interrupts our productivity significantly. In the world
of technology, change is a good thing, because updates often fix bugs and
improve usability. It just takes some getting used to.

Best,

Jamie Principato
