[nabs-l] watch out! it's another ridiculous update from Google

Angelina and all,

Yes, this could work. The trick is to convince members of the general public
who are not in the blindness field to sign it. For people who have no
personal interest in the issues facing us, the fact that Braille notetakers
are not keeping up with even the least rigorous of today's technological
standards will probably at first seem unimportant to them. This is a public
relations hirtle that anyone who does that sort of work for NFB must jump
over. But I believe it is a challenge we can overcome.

Would a petition on a forum such as:
change.org
bring Attention to this issue? Keeping up with mainstream technical
standards is something that many braille notetaker companies should
automatically do.
