Hi,
I am looking for the cheapest, probably off the shelf scanning software blind people use these days on a Mac computer.
Assume I am savvy and patient enough to deal with running minimal program with very few features.
I want to prop a book down, and scan through just as fast as I can turn the pages.
I can save in some image format and let some program run OCR on it later.
I have DocuScan, and it does the trick. It is solid, accessible, and made for use by the blind. I'll use it if that's the only thing that works, but I know there are other programs out there that are cheaper and will do what I want.
thanks,
Antonio
