RJ,
Helga like you and anyone else can share whatever she wants with
her friends, but this is a listserve for discussing issues having
to do with being a blind student not a social networking site or
a bulletin board for posting job opportunities. Both of those
things exist for people who are interested in them, but this is
not the place. I've only been on this list for a couple months,
but it's incredibly frustrating to have to read through people's
personal messages to each other and then on top of it to be
spammed about a pyramid scheme. Thank you Sean for trying to
hold the line!
Best,
Karl

So you're saying that a blind person Helga, who is getting out
there and
getting active, can't share with us other blind people what she
is wanting
to do? Have we become so narrow minded, that we do not take other
Ideas into
account? Dr. RJ Sandefur

Where else would one promote a business to blind people who are
looking
for
an opportunity? How about all the jobs that are listed; what is
the
difference? With the "seventy percent unemployment rate,,"
wouldn't a
business opportunity, essentially a job, be welcomed provided
that the
individual does not over do it? I'm just curious; because the
job
opportunities probably shouldn't be listed either, even though I
would
soarly dislike that.

Hi all,
Let's please remember that this list has a purpose. Promoting
our home
businesses that have absolutely nothing to do with blindness is
not it. We
are pretty flexible about what is discussed here, but let's
please avoid
posting solicitations and promotions like this.
Thanks,
Sean
