Hi
My capstone group developed a tour app of Arizona States Universities
School of Engineering. As a legally blind person, I have pushed to make it
accessible. Not an easy task, they don't get it!
I am wondering what photos need ot be described? For example your are to go
to the next point which is Physical Science let's say. The app has a map
and text directions. When you get there you can view videos, view photos
and listen to audio. Mostly the photos are of the building. Would you want
those all alt texted with descriptions or just make sure the audio includes
descriptions of what is in the building? The photos are downloaded as you
arrive at a point form the server so alt text was not set in xCode. I am
not sure how to do it dynamically also I would need to change the structure
of the xml file that we get the links from.
We have an Android version also.
Are photos in this situation something that is normally alt texted?
We are handing it off to the engineering depart this week but I want to
include a document stating what need to be added to ensure accessibility.
No one else will even think about it.
Thank you
Suzanne
