Hi, everyone,
I'm writing with some information about a fun opportunity to strengthen or augment your independence and travel skills. The Road Lies Ahead is a fun and interactive perceptual mobility workshop led by Daniel Kish. You may have heard of Daniel and his echolocation techniques called flash sonar, and he is also a certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist. Through a variety of games and activities the program will teach you and your brain to listen to your surroundings in a new way. In addition to the listed activities in the attached curriculum we will be bringing back two original games invented at last year's pilot program. One is somewhat like capture the flag using sound beacons and water pistols we call Black Ops, and the other is a blend of soccer and tag which is like an adapted version of Quidditch. The pilot program was very fun in addition to being educational. Please see below for more information. Hope to see you there.
