Hi,

The application for Jernigan funds typically involves an essay and a letter from an affiliate president, though you might have to see if someone from the Canadian NFB or a state affiliate president would handle your case. It's not bad at all. The deadline is typically April 15th, and is announced a few months prior in The Braille Monitor, our monthly publication which you can read for free online.
