[nabs-l] Boothcamp Question

Hi, Helga,

Bootcamp is essentially going to create a partition on your mac that
will allow for windows to also run on your hard drive. When you have
bootcamp installed your mac will basically function just like a
windows computer (when you're on that OS). There are a few little
quirks like the location of the alt and windows keys will be reversed
on your keyboard from usual, but there are no major differences to
using Jaws and NVDA on a mac running bootcamp from a typical windows
PC running the same programs. Of course, when you switch back to
using Mac OS you'll use voiceover or whatever other program you might
use normally.

I don't have experience installing bootcamp myself as the computer I
have experience using it on is one owned by my university, but I do
switch between the windows and mac systems on the computer and use
Jaws when working in windows. I know you requested people contact you
off list but I thought I'd respond at least about the screenreaders
and their functions within bootcamp on list in case anyone else was
wondering. I hope this helps.
