 Happy Friday NABS!

My name is Vee Gaspa, and I just finished my first year at Seton
Hall University. While I am originally from Virginia, I've expanded my
Federation work to my school state of New Jersey. I quickly involved myself
in the NFB of NJ, becoming President of the New Jersey Association of Blind
Students. When I was first elected president of this division, I did not
realize how much of a challenge, privilege, and developmental experience it
would be. This division has provided me with self-reflection as an
individual, leader, but most of all as a mentor to fellow blind students.

I had the incredible opportunity to be sponsored by both the New Jersey
Affiliate and the National Association of Blind Students to attend this
year's Washington Seminar. After battling through the slick snow, I was
fortunate enough to converse with multiple Congressmen. Without a doubt,
this was truly an eye-opening experience for me. Witnessing, firsthand, all
the work that we do on such a large scale is remarkable; and I am honored to
be a part of it.

This July, I am eager to take my talent, passion, and enthusiasm to the
national level. At the 76th NFB National Convention, I am running for a nabs
Board position. With my energy, drive, and experience, I promise to bring
positivity and new insight to the NABS Board. During our NABS Annual
Business Meeting, I hope each of you consider supporting me as I grow in our
movement. I am confident that my creativity and motivation will show true as
we continue to advance the National Association of Blind students, a proud
division of the national Federation of the Blind!

See you in Orlando!
Sincerely,
Vee Gaspa

Live the life you want.
