Hi, 
Did you check the box that said "use CapsLock as an NVDA modifier key during initial setup? If so, it will be Capslock. If not, some laptops have an insert key at the end of the f keys, right next to delete. At least, that's where my intert key was. Bigger laptops have a number pad, where the insert key is the zero key. Hope that helps.
