The Braille Challenge is a reading and writing competition for students in grades 1-12. Braille Challenge contest categories include reading comprehension, writing speed and accuracy, proofreading, spelling, and reading tactile charts and graphs. The top 50 competitors in the country will qualify to attend the National Braille Challenge in California which will be held during the month of June. We also have a "rookie" challenge for those students in Pre-K and Kindergarten and a Mini-BELL program for those students who are just learning Braille and are in grades 1 thru 5. Please see the attached information to learn more! Be sure to complete both the registration form and permission form. At this time, the parent permission form is not accessible.
