If the ePub is not protected, I would download the Vitalsource bookshelf app, and sideload the epub. It will let you take notes in the text, and is the most accessible reading app I have seen. Unfortunately, you will have to create a vitalsource account, but you don't have to use the account. You can just sideload the epubs.

I believe this question has already been asked, but I can't quite remember... What is the best way to read an epub using a PC with any Internet browser is okay?
