Hello,
The latest version of Android is actually Nougat. This would be 7.0 if you
are more into the numbers thing.
Regards

Carl,
True. The Braille note touch runs an old version of android and the neo
braille runs lollypop, the newest version. No, I do not have an android
tablet, in case you wondered, but I know the latest version name.
I also read online that the neo braille has more storage and processing
speed.
I think it can go on youtube as well as read powerpoint files and excel
files.
When I can afford one, I'd get the neo braille, although I do not want to
be one of the first to get it. I'll wait a few years for them to refine it
and get rid of the bugs.
Great points Carl. Are you going to get a neo Braille?
Ashley

IN addition to having a built in keyboard not a case and probably not
having the problems people have been reporting with the Touch unlocking
itself when it's in a bag, the Neobraille runs a much newer version of
Android. My recollection from talking to both companies at convention is
also that the Neobraille has better storage and processing speed, though I
don't remember the exact numbers.

Vejas,
Please share your experiences about the product when you get it.
I assume
you saw it at convention.
What made you decide to get it versus other new notetakers such as the
Braille Note touch? It seems like the Touch and Neo braille do much the
same thing. Although, I think the Neo braille can access more mainstream
programs on the internet like drop box and even skype.

Hi,
I just wanted to inform all of you who are considering obtaining a
Neo-Braille that I have found out yesterday that the release date has been
pushed back to the end of February, which explains the limited discussion
about it within the general public. If you go to the Irie AT website, and
click on "contact us", you can email to ask them to tell you when it's
out, or ask them any further questions.
