[nabs-l] Introduction of NABS Nominating Committee

Dear Blind Students,

The National Association of Blind Students seeks to emulate the operations
of our national, state and chapter boards. In this pursuit, we have formed
a nominating committee. A group of geographically diverse student leaders,
who will slate students for our national board, who they determine are best
suited to progress this proud division forward in its endeavors. The
leaders who are slated are studied and can be trusted by our members to
serve sincerely and professionally. Nominations can still be presented from
the floor. The elections will not be a popularity contest, and will rather
hope to appoint the best person for each available position. The slate will
be announced at the annual business meeting. After the elections, it is
expected that our membership fully supports our leaders and no notions of
contest will linger. It is due to this support that our organization has
been able to be so efficient and successful in its aims. It is important to
not allow politics to bog us down.
